(Taipei Communications) ChipSiP, the leading wearable company, announced today their support of an application platform designed for enterprise use of smart glasses needing Visual Remote Guidance for field support and service delivery. The application platform is provided by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and is named HPE MyRoom. The platform connects smart wearable devices through secure cloud, with remote field delivery professionals.
ChipSiP President George Tai expressed that a field engineer often uses both hands to work on complex equipment. The transparent display allows the operator to remain hands-free while receiving real-time instruction and also do operation at the same time. This combination of capabilities effectively reduces communication blind-spots and delays. These are the advantages that mobile devices, as compared to smart wearables, are unable to provide.
The VRG solution in combination with ChipSiP wearables is suitable not only for providing one-to-one remote maintenance guidance, but also for use in one-to-many and many-to-many remote teaching and educational training. Instructors may remotely monitor multiple real-time screens to provide instant and precise corrections to operators to achieve maximum efficiency.
Currently, the solution by ChipSiP SiME in combination with the HPE MyRoom application platform and VRG service is offered with immediate availability in the America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.
